Who are we?
SportaMundi
Behind SportKompas stands SportaMundi, a non-profit organization that has grown out of the social activities of Ghent University. SportaMundi aims to bring relevant (sports) scientific research into practice in the form of products and/or services for governments and for social and non-profit organizations, such as schools, cities and sports federations.
SportaMundi is responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of SportKompas in Flemish schools and cities.
- Assisting international organizations in the implementation of SportKompas in various countries.
- Operating and further developing the SportKompas digital platform.
- Monitoring the scientific foundation of SportKompas and the specifications of the test material.
- Performing data analyses and reporting to schools, governments and researchers about the fitness of our youth, their sports participation and the evolution of the physical skills of each child.
